Our Schoolhouse
Our building is a renovated barn that has been converted to an old-fashioned "little blue" schoolhouse. Stained glass and rich woodworking are features of the interior of the building. Children are fascinated to hear about the history of the building and its transformation, which occurred in the 90's when a group of middle and high school students and their teachers worked to turn the dilapidated barn into a school.
Our Classrooms
Our Early Childhood classroom, on the upper level
of the building, is spacious and filled with natural light. Its openness makes it an ideal, adaptable space. Soft-hued geometric paintings hang on the walls. It includes a child-level sink, an easel, a grand piano, abundant open space, plants and animals, and an adjoining deck for outdoor activities.Radiant
heat from the floor keeps toes warm in the winter time.

Our Elementary classroom, in a separate building, is a more

intimate space than the Early Childhood room, ideal for a smaller group. One portion of the classroom contains a kitchen and food preparation space, room for both table and floor work, and a window onto the outdoor space. Another features work tables and a gathering space, making it perfect for the Great Lessons. A door opens on the outdoor area, which serves as an extension of the classroom.
